Mech Slayer
I always had a soft spot for Mech Slayer, even though it pretty much sputtered through its entire run as the most overlooked Impro ever. I suppose that despite top-notch efforts by everyone who contributed to it, the story was uneven, hobbled by skipped parts and maybe not all that original as a whole, but... After I read each part, I was overflowing with ideas on what might happen next. The first appearance of Guardian, who my site is named after, is on page 50. Ahh... there's nothing like having an angelic being appear to smite the heck out of the bad guys. It's just fun. You'll note that I keep doing it in other stories, too. SPOILERS: Guardian reappeared later in the comic from time to time. She was central to Kendra's part, she had a brief cameo in Michael Rook's and D_Art's chapters, and then Eisu and Long Vo brought her back at the very end as -- the main villain! Wow, that was weird.
Anyway, there's various cool machinery in these chapters. Keep an eye open for Graceful Enforcer, a slick autonomous combat robot; Amanda's expanding-barrel pistol; Draxen's sword-gun; and the adorable Defense Bots (which I didn't design, but still tried very hard to squeeze back into the story 'cause they're so neat.) In general, though, this was my first attempt at drawing action sequences, so take caution when reading it...
